Carbide lime sludge

Carbide lime sludge is a hydrated lime slurry. composed primarily of calcium hydroxide with trace amounts of carbonate - and contrasts its characteristics with "dry" hydrated lime (HL), a common building material. Since many years ago, hydrated lime has been replaced with carbide lime in processes like the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater, flu-gas desulfurization, sludge conditioning, road stabilization, and other processes that call for regular commercial lime.
